The previous owner of my FM3 Challenger sent me some pictures of what it looked like before I bought it. Thought I would post a chronology:

1) When previous owner bought it. circa 1986
2) After he had it painted. circa 1986. He didn't want to drive a pink car when he was in high school.
3) What it looked like after an old lady hit it. circa 1987.
4) What it looked like when I bought it. 2013
5) What it looks like today. 2018

I think I did a pretty good job in bringing it back to the original factory look.  One thing that I did notice is that it is sporting a pair of dual white wall tires, which agrees with the build sheet. I think it would look pretty good with them again if I can ever find a set.

 8) Wow, that's really cool!. It's fantastic that it wasn't crushed with that damage in the 80s. I love that car. I'd love to have a FM3 car....i asked my wife if it would have been a deal breaker if I drove a pink car when we met. She said probably so.....  :crying:

Hi Dave, the insurance paid to have the front straighten back in 87 but that was it. It sat in the guy's garage till 2013. He was hoping to fix it but never came up with the money.

Alan, I never thought of checking with Bill Rolik.  thanks for the tip.

Wow, very nice find. I'd love to have a FM3 car someday. Unfortunately I'm on the "never had the money side of things" and time is running out. :drinkingbud:

Great shots. Here is one of mine from 1978. FM3 really faded fast.
