I have a stupid question....

I was skimming thru this book the other day, came upon paint codes (colors) for Dodge/Plymouth  why is it ceramic red in 71 Dodge and back to Hemi orange all the other years, Plymouth its tor-red all years... heres the book

I never could understand why these books often show cars that obviously have stuff on that isn't correct or info that's is wrong. They're probably geared for the general public and not really a reference book. Nice book overall though. Some of the people here should get together and put a book together because you seem to know what is correct on these cars and how to restore them.

I have heard the term ceramic red years ago. I know it refereed to Tor Red-Hemi Orange.
Not sure where it came from though.
