Nitto NT555 G2 Tires 275/50/17 255/45/17

Looks like the Cuda is going to be sporting Nitto NT555 G2 UHP Tires.. 255/45/17 Front and 275/50/17 rear.. Hope it turns out OK Gonna take a few weeks to get them from Nitto.

Between this car and Goody's Yellow Cuda I figured the combo will work...

275/50/17's on the back / 245/45/17 on the front..

Goody's Cuda... I already have 17" wheels front / rear with proper backspace so I couldn't quite duplicate his setup.

Front - 17x8 with 4.5" backspacing 255/45/17
Rear - 18x9 with 5.9" backspacing 295/45/18

So glad we have all this info on this site and others

You'll likely need to play with thin wheel spacers on the rear. I'm at 3/8" on the back.

Maybe a little, my rear wheels are custom offset, I have 285/40/17 on there now, they are about 1/4" from the springs / lip.. These tires are .4" narrower and I am putting on a disc brake kit that is going to push them 1/4" out from the spring side.. So it might just be perfect At least I hope.

Its all good.. Not in a hurry on these. Steering column is still a few weeks out and I have "brand new 13 year old tires" on the car now so it can roll.. I won't be driving it until August or September probably at this point.

I had that set up on my challenger before I got the 18's..the rear was tight but fit....

17" Torque Thrust II's on my '71 with Nitto 255-50's on the front and 275-50's on the back with a stock rear end, XHD leaf springs. I had to roll the lips on both front and back.

Well they look like they're going to be OK... I will be doing the rear axles / disc brake conversion and then I will know if I have to roll the lips on the quarters. Looks like the front will be OK.. Will know better when she is back on the ground in a few weeks.

I know this is an old thread, but I am pretty sure I'm getting Nitto NT555 G2's 275/50/17 and 245/45/17, although I'd like to get just a little taller sidewall in the front. Since my car came with 275/60/15's in the back and those are 28" tall the new ones at 27.8" should work just fine right? I think I'm going to get the Year One Rallye's for the wheels.

It all depends on the wheel offset but the tires should fit just fine.

245-45 17 up front comes real close with my wheels 17x8 backspacing..
That 255 miiiiiiight tickle the frame.....depending on your wheel setup..

I have the same tires..      Not many choices in a 17 in these specs..
