And one is on the cover of Mopar Muscle, one is featured on the Hot Rod Network...

Another one is in the hands of the original owner... I think the fourth one was also Yellow, there are experts who follow these things...

I just thought it was a nice coincidence that half of them were featured at the same time!

I would have probably missed out on those Hot Rod articles if you hadn't pointed them out Ben. That would have been my loss because they are great write-ups and have a lot of great pics of those two cars. Thanks Ben!

Yeah, three of the four are pretty well known. As for the fourth, 355499 sold new out of Dorval Quebec ... well it's pretty much an enigima. People know of it, but nobody has seen it, or have any tangible evidence that it still exists ... or maybe it's just me who hasn't seen it!  :haha:

Thanks again Ben!!  :thankyou:
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

I always heard the Dorval one was wrecked early in life, taking out a toll booth or something.
... 11 total for Canada.
The Hemi Challenger convert is still in TO and likely will be in unrestored state, forever.
Too bad you couldn't make a deal with ' the family' to restore it Alan

Figured as much. So it's kind of similar to the Canadian spec '70 HC 'vert that was sold new in Port Alberni BC. That one was also apparently wrecked and totalled early in life and nothing remains of it. With the high profile of these cars and the power of the internet, it would be pretty hard to keep one completely under wraps for such a long time if they were still around.

Terry, are there any details of what 355499 may have looked like? Auto, 4 speed, color, interior, description of the toll booth that it took out  :o  Thanks!
Cheers!

I  got an update recently that apparently 355449 was located last year iby a couple guys from western Ontario.
Started life black with black interior, auto, dana.
It had been wrecked but not totalled in Quebec early.
Story goes that it was later bought by John Petrie and he transformed it cosmetically to 72-74 style and raced it.
Last year a couple well known Mopar guys in Ontario went to look at a Cuda adverised on kijiji as a 72 Cuda racecar sitting in a snowbank, or what was left of it.
After checking it over they realized what it was..or had been
Missing a lot but dana is intact.. tough car but it went home with them and they are rounding up what they can for it.

Well would you look at that ... first post and (for me) he hits it out of the park! Thank you Matthew! I assume Rick is a relative? How does Rick fit into the timeline of this car? Original owner, etc? Thanks again Matthew!!
