I've seen restored A66's go for around $35,000 to $40,000.

The top price I've seen was this A66 at Meccum in March 2019 going for $50,000.

And it was a no-sale at that price, reserve was higher!
He did a great job of marketing it, with nice presentation, and an unusual color combo, The Green/Yellow combo is original!

You know what you have, you don't know what you are going to get. What do you want to buy?

Is that the car that you found in the trunk, an F-78-14  B F Goodrich spacesaver on an orange rim.
I recall a thread regarding that some time ago, and asking if it could be original.

That must be a different car your thinking of Terry.Spare not around anymore though. And I looking at a vintage European car to play with. I have a 1972 Challenger with a 572 in it so my Mopar needs are covered. I actually miss my old Fiat 124 Spider. Fun little car once you get the bugs figured out!!

Interesting, I am still thinking about your car and I also have a European vintage car I bought for flipping 3 years ago but I am not so sure anymore what I want to do with it keep it or sell it.

The estimates quoted for A66 Challengers are close to what I have tracked based on insurance quotes and or auction sales.
Hagerty (Sept 2019) quoted the following for A66 hardtops;

Fair         Good       Excellent    Concours
$17,000           $22,100   $35,000     $47,200

Adding: +20% for Shaker hood. +15% for 4-spd. Colors
can make an astonishing difference in both
value and salability.

If you look at their INSURANCE VALUES; prices have increased about 15% over the last 10 years

Auction Prices tend to be close or a little higher. Private sales are probably in line with the insurance chart. Comvertibles sell at a slightly higher premium.

A few more statistics;

Public auctions (less than 20%, relatively small percentage of collector car transactions.
Dealer sales; (approximately 12%) smaller volume of transactions
Peer-to-peer sales (71.5%)

Most sales are private from seller to buyer.

Haggerty set up a proprietary set of criteria for valuations based on:

-   developed a process to aggregate transactional data from our vast network of willing insured clients.
-   sales figures directly from established dealers
-   we consult respected third parties to fill in the details on those cars we are unable to review.
-   tremendous variance between cars of the same year/make/model description
-   Low mileage, full documentation, overall condition, rarity, and significant modifications can all greatly affect
         a vehicle's value –
-   looking at recent sales data for a given model
