Does not appear to retain it's fender tag or build sheet.  I have asked of course but have not received correspondence.

Looks like it is in great shape.

Opinions?

Do the rear quarters look strange? I talked to a guy years ago that had a 1970 Barracuda Convertible he was cloning into a 71. I thought he said he widened the rear quarters a couple of inches or something like that. I'm thinking this might be the car. If you look at the top of the quarters from the rear something might look off to me.

Rear trunk drops were extended 1 inch and the back of the rear quarters is wide and 1.5 to accommodate a wider tire because it was going to be a resto mod can very easily be put back probably in about one day if you really had to have it back to stock did not modify the quarter panels in anyway just pulled them out a little bit

If you want the car and want it back to factory I will be happy to put it back the way it was for the BIN

To be honest you cannot tell unless I told you by looking at the car you would never know

Very interesting.

I'm just blown away by the amount of knowledge and memory here as it is indeed the widened rear convertible.

Rear body panel appears to be from a gran coupe, along with the tail lite housings are argent silver.  :alan2cents:

Funny how I can remember obscure details/conversations about E-body convertibles from years ago but can't remember what my wife wants for Christmas....

Notice there's no rear valance on it. Going to be fun to modifying a valance to fit that one.

The owner said he thought it was a gran coupe.  It's a BH code car though. Must have had some gran coupe parts laying around for the build.

@Crocha617  , is his description of the value of the windshield stainless correct?  4k?

I think that's a little excessive. I think about 1/2 of that price if they are really nice. They are getting really tough to find. We did find a beat up pair of the thick top SS pieces at Carlisle over the summer for $100. Just depends how bad you need them I guess.

Thanks Chris.  That is what I was thinking the value was.  Much appreciated.

People are getting a little carried away bidding on this one if any of these bids are real. Over $40,000 for a 70 318 shell. Wow...
