Yeah, not much car for 19K, even in $CAD.

Cuda Cody

How much in AMD metal and labor would that roller cost?

cudamadd

Wow crazy price  :australia how much to finish it ??

Hmm, looks like some of the replacement panel work is done, but that is a lot of money for a roller.

Turns out I know the buyer... :lookatthat: paid a little less then $19K, basically just as you see it, no extra parts.

No bits and pieces with it?  That's gonna be expensive......

Almost as bad as '68 chargers.

MAYBE $5k USD, but that's it.

The hobby was more fun decades ago - no one really wanted Mopars except for the true enthusiasts.

Even if one has a fully equipped shop at home and the time to use it --

How much would AMD metal alone cost?

Then the time to weld everything up properly and dress/grind the welds prior to initial bodywork?

The buyer may have paid a bit of a premium, however, it would appear that the '70 could go to media blasting right away, would need minimal sheet metal repair, and could be ready for body/paint before the end of the summer.

Was it worth $5-10K extra to the buyer to start with this foundation? Probably

HP2

How many years ago was Goodmark offering completely new chassis', non roller, for $15k and everyone thought it was nuts.

So the guys that bought it, plan to clone it into a 440 auto R/T, likely purple with black interior.....and sell it.

The car came with none of the SE interior stuff, so the plan is to remove the rear window plug and sell it separately.

What is a SE rear window plug with the glass and stainless trim worth ?

The inside trim for the rear window plug is the harder piece to get -- I don't know if anyone has laid up a reproduction yet.

Used to be $500 all day long for a tinted SE rear window with plug and outside chrome.  If the glass is really nice, then probably much more as I don't think that window is reproduced.

YMMV
