2 speed wiper problems

Coming home from Carlisle I ran into rain and when I went to turn on my wipers... Nothing happened lol.
Switches were rebuilt by JS approx 4-5 years ago and that was my first time testing them. I was thinking it was the wiper motor itself so ordered another one. Went to install that one and when testing it, it also did not work. I ended up bench testing the original motor and it turned on no problem.

I disconnected the switch and using a test light to check, I was getting full power from the pink wire (full brightness) but when checking both the low and high speed terminals I was getting barely any power (dim light), where should turn my attention to?

I actually tried grounding the switch directly to see if that's where my problem was and still nothing.

Has anyone heard from Jim at all from JS restos? I know he retired a few years back. But the switch he restored for me seems to be the problem area. I'm able to jump the wiper both high and low by bypassing the switch. Unfortunately though once it I hook up the switch again I'm getting nothing from it.

FIXED!!!! Took switch apart and noticed a spring wasn't seated.

On the 23rd he posted in "Funny pictures, videos, memes", so he's around when he wants to be. He never responded to the last PM & email I sent him ages ago and I always thought we were friends. FWIW, a headlight switch he did for me also failed.

Where did you order your wiper motor? I need a replacement. I see RockAuto has Cardone rebuilds. Know if they are any good?

Actually what I did was took the part number for there and entered it in for Amazon. Was $20 cheaper and free shipping. Great looking quality and a lot lighter. The only real difference was that the cover was a little smaller than the original. I went ahead and kept it even though my original motor still works so that if it ever breaks I can just use the brushes from the new motor and replace the ones in my old motor.

So I guess I'll order it through Amazon.com. This is why Canadian retailers fail...gouging. I like to buy local, but not taking a kick in the nuts to do it.

Picked up the replacement wiper motor today. Without the exterior  resistor I see you need to alter the wiring harness from the B/H connector. After I did that it runs fine.
While I have the wiper linkage apart...is there any recommended maintenance for the linkage? Like should I remove it and grease anything? or bushings to replace? ....or?

When I had mine apart I regreased around the clutch spring and cam since that's where I noticed some old grease remnants.

The linkage has a clutch spring? I better look at my service manual. Maybe I'm missing something.

Just finished painting the new wiper motor housing.  New motor is a lot quieter than original.  But,  original is 50 years old.  Pretty darn good service life. It still runs, just doesn't park anymore.

Yeah, mine matched up to this diagram.

Actually, I ended up doing the same with my new one (painting it and being amazed at how quiet it was) before realizing the old one still worked.
