340 coil and bracket does the coil on a small block have to be really tight in that bracket  . Also if one of the wires is slightly loose I could move it but it was still kind of tight would that cause spark problems  .    With the coil not being tight in that bracket call spark problems  .     The reason why ask is I was driving my car today and came to a stop sign and it shut off on me and I could not get it started no fuel in the fuel filter after a while I was getting fuel to the fuel filter but it was like I wasn't getting any spark so I tighten those two things up  .   So now I'm not sure if I actually solved the problem or I still have a problem .

Loose wires are never a good thing....The coil being loose in that bracket would not cause any running issues in my opinion, however it's worth tightening it up :alan2cents:

My bet is you still have a problem
if the coil caused it to die then the coil is damaged , no fuel in the filter is a bigger concern , I would test the fuel pump for pressure & volume , it should have 5 psi & move a cup of fuel or more in 10 seconds
