Hi, last fall we installed a Fitech in the Challenger. Now that we have it working good, I would like to make the wiring look better. Is it possible to take some the connector apart and short up the wiring and ressemble it? Can it be done with the wire for the O2 sensor? I know it a really sensible wire that your not suppose to change the resistance.

Chryco Psycho

I have cut the wires on O2 sensors in the past to change the plug with no issue

Some Fitech componenets have to go to the factory for repairs so keep that in mind.

Ok so take the plug apart, cut the wire, crimp a new terminal and reassemble the plug. It's do able? Other guys with fuel injection how do you all those to long wires look like they belong there?

Chryco Psycho

I would cut the wire in the middle shorten it then solder & heat shrink each wire & not mess with the plug .
You will have to figure out how to hide the routing of the wires ,

I actually had to extend a couple of the harness's on my FiTech install.
The power to tank and the thermostat plug needed to be longer.
The others I ran along with other stock wiring along the factory routing.

I don't know how I manage that, I didn't had to extend any wire. In fact they are all to long to be tuck in with the OEM ones.
