I have a question for all who have done the quartz conversion on their clocks; how do you remove the motor assembly from the dial plate assembly?  There appears to be 3 rubber grommets with washers. Does the end washer just pry off? I don't want to damage anything so I thought I would ask.

Ralley clock?  Did the kit come with directions?

Your pictures are great. The instructions in the kit are too general for me. I didn't realize you have to remove the 3 rivets to get the face off. Thanks for the help! I'm going to do the tach next.

Those are just some random photos of clocks I've done so if you get stuck feel free to ask and I'm sure I have more photos that might help.  :bigthumb:

Great thread and pictures. Planning on doing this also in the near future.

What did you use to install the new rivets?

Cuda Cody

A punch that rounds them over.

Cool. That's what I was thinking.  Just have to be careful the face doesn't get scratched on the other side.

Here's pictures of my rivet "clincher". I used this for the clock rivets and rallye light bar lens rivets.
