Will check which gasket I used.   The Sniper kit came with new 4150 gasket.  Just ordered new plugs to eliminate that possibility of being
the culprit.  All the little things ......    Will report back later this week.   Thanks for the suggestions.

@7212Mopar which type of insulating gasket did you use?
The Holley's come with a 0.065 thick Syntheseal gasket

So far the sniper has been very reliable in the Cuda. It hasn't ran for more than ten minutes or so yet and hasn't been out on the open road, just rolling between my garage and my shop. I am running a 1" Phenolic Carb spacer from Canton racing under the sniper unit... With the RPM Air Gap intake it makes hood clearance pretty tight, had to use 1 drop base air cleaner to make it all work out.

Where is your o2 sensor installed? Mine is in the header collector.

Thanks guys for the feedback.

Hey Ledphoot ..... Just curious what the benefit is with the 1" Phenolic Carb spacer from Canton racing??

I am running a shaker set up with my Sniper which is the same size/height as the Holly carb I removed.   I needed a 1/2" carb spacer to get the
shaker bubble to sit correct with my hood.

I am running it to help with the dual plane rpm air gap intake. Apparently the sniper's map sensor will get strange readings with some dual plane intakes and affect the tune, the spacer helps the MAP sensor get more consistent readings.

^^^ Out of curiosity... are you using a 4 hole or open spacer??

I am running the RPM air gap intake. My engine builder cut off about 1/2" notch of the center divider to equalize the pressure of both sides.

Edelbrock 9265 or 9266 nitrile insulating type depending on your carb base.

@fireguyfire

Which fuel pump setup did you go with?
I just ordered up my sniper tonight. Putting it on a 318 with LD4B intake.

Holley also makes an in tank fuel pump that replaces the OEM float assembly and does not require a return line.. it self regulates in the tank.

HOLLEY 255 LPH OE STYLE EFI FUEL TANK MODULES

^^^ I don't know anyone has used this yet... but it sure looks promising.

That's what I ordered.

@Skdmark did you try the new in tank pump yet ?
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I did. So far everything is working fine. I don't have too many miles on it yet.  Loving that I no longer have to pump the pedal prior to firing it up after sitting for a few days.

One nice thing about the Holley pump is it also replaces your sending unit. This way you are not stuck with an inaccurate reading like you get with the overseas reproduction senders.

That's great to hear, I think it will greatly simplify my next 392 install. :twothumbsup:

Are you running the Holley pump setup without any type of return line?

Skdmark

@GrandpaKevin

Correct. An external return line is not needed with this pump.
I kept the factory hard lines in place. Replaced the rubber fuel lines with EFI rated hoses and clamps.
