First time gauge/dash install - please help!

@Cuda Cody in picture #5 what is that (tube?) that appears to be connected to the back of the clock?

Fifth pic - does this set of wires (labeled turn signal flasher) get plugged into this electronic flasher device and if so where does this get mounted? Or how? = You will have two flashers.  The round one goes on the ash tray and the square one goes on the pedals (little small bracket).  You can use the round flashers for both if you want.

Photo #5?  I think you are looking at the back of a ralley clock.  The tube would be the reset cable?

Mine's not mounted, it just dangles from the connector in the wiring harness.

And just an FYI on the radio. The 2 mounting holes in the bottom is one way to identify an E-body radio when it is out of the car. There are radios made for other models that will look the same and are sold as E-body application when they are not.  So just be aware when you are shopping for an O.E.radio for your restoration. I would have contacted Mancini from Instrument Specialties first about the connections required for the upgrades that he did.

@Cuda Cody what is a reset cable?  My rally clock only has a wire and a hole that has tape over it.

@Mrbill426 - it connects to the small knob shown in the picture below to allow you to reset the time on your clock.

First picture is the backside of the reset knob (shown above) where the cable connects.
Second picture is the other end of the cable that connects to the back of the clock.

Yes Sir a '72.  Does not work but all sealed up so don't know exactly what is wrong with it  :tired:

There have been some posts on here, some relatively recent, about cleaning up the contacts to get an original clock working again.  Some claim good results, others say it will eventually stop again.  You can also install a more modern quartz movement in the clock with a relatively simple kit.  Only drawback is that the second hand of the clock will no longer "tick", it will just sweep around the dial.

@DeathProofCuda thanks for the info; I may give it a whirl although I am a bit hesitant with the tiny rivets through the face. I see no bend over tabs unless they become visible after the riveted shroud comes off.
