THE ZUKE

Hello,

I don't understand the problem that I put myself on the wipers of my Cuda 70. ::)

I have disassembled the entire plate or is fixed the switch of the wipers.

I had to change my speedometer which oscillated enormously. :tool:

I didn't take pictures before dismounting and I regret it now  :dunno: because I can't find the right direction of connection for the 2 connectors. :madashell:

I think the little one with the green wire and the red goes downstairs.

I deduce that the big one with the 4 wires is mounted at the top. But I don't find the meaning or it is mounts.

If I take the diagram with the colors and location of the 2 connectors (A 2 wires and 4 wires).

It doesn't match the back of the switch that is installed on my car.

I confirm that the wipers were working before I dismounted. :iagree:

I can't get the 4 wires of the big connector all connected to the 4 pins of the switch. The 2 wires on the small connector can go to 2 different places.

When I look at the wiper motor connection, the brown wire is connected.

I can never find a position where it can be plugged into the switch.

If you could show me a picture of the correct montage, thank you very much. :worship:

This is how it should look when plugged in. One terminal is not used.

Thanks Jay Bee, wipers work great.  :worship:

Because of you, I noticed two things:

1. If the black plate that supports the commutator is in its normal position (with the fixing screws), the wipers work.
2. If the black plate that supports the commutator is tilted forward (Not attached to the dashboard),  wipers don't work.

I tried in the second position all this afternoon. :verymad:

I can not explain that ?

The screw in the bottom lefthand corner grounds the switch plate to the dash frame.

Easy Lol  :)) :))

I looked for why it wasn't working all this afternoon ... ::) :dunno:

I have been learning mechanic step by step.

See on the backside that the metal plate that the switches mount to, has a long tab on it that would ground to the dash frame when installed correctly.

I understand  :bigthumb:

For the next time, I won't have this kind of problem.  :stop:
