Hi!

I had no horn on the car, so i m trying to install a new one.
But...
When i press the horn button i have a spark,  i tried with two different horn relay (one with the key buzzer, and one without)
If i remove the horn relay no spark.
Of course horn doesn t work.
I did have the same issue before i add the horn.

Ground issue i suppose?
But where do i have to check?
May it comes from the horn button system?

Did you run a power line to the horn itself to see if they actually work? Sounds like the problem is from the relay to the horn. I'd also run a ground wire right to the wire that goes to the button and see if the horn blows. If you're getting a spark at the button you're probably getting a good ground there because that's all the button does.

Can you hear the relay click when you press the button? Check the black wire at the turn signal connector to make sure it is fully seated.

Took the multimeter out and with the relay on:

- 12v at the horn switch (first pic)
- 0v at the horn (second pic)

I added picture because i have a lack of vocabulary at the moment to explain....pics should speaks themseff  :pokeeye:

-Horn tested and it works
-Do you mean it is normal to have a spark when i press the switch?

The black wire I'm talking about is in the strip of wires that connect from the turn signal switch. If your relay is working, then that's not the problem.

Is your horn connected to the green wire with red stripe?

Maybe check the green/red wire at the bulkhead connector? That's the big area with all the wires plugged in at the firewall under the hood.

Well it s working now guys!!

I connected the horn like in the wiring diagram, dark green / red wire to one spade and i thought the ground was ok with the mounting bracket.

BUT my horn isn't a challenger one, it was in my spare parts and the second blade needed a real ground!

Sorry guys, my issue was stupid...that what happen when dumbs try to solve electrical issue. I am ashamed!  :'(

Thanks for your help!!
