What Is This Coil?

What is this coil assembly for that is plugged into the top of my fuse panel? I suspect its a key minder/seat belt buzzer assembly from prehistoric times ( if so, it's not working),   :dunno: but not sure. Thanks.

That's not a Coil, it's a Relay with the cover missing...

What year and model is your car?

I believe it's the horn relay.

Yep, it's the Horn Relay for sure on a 70 Cuda, not sure about other years and models.

Thanks guys. It's on a 73 Cuda. Since you pointed me in the right direction, I started looking for a replacement, and I found that it is a combination horn relay and key buzzer. My horn works, but the key buzzer does not. Looks like the previous owner caught this one with his boot.

IMO it is working perfectly if the horn works & the key in ign is not LOL

The replacement part came yesterday, and you're right........damn that buzzer is annoying.  :headbang: Maybe I'll put the cover from the new part onto the old relay, lol.

Yep, a horn relay assembly that has a coil as one of its components. No worries. Since I didn't know that the assembly was the horn relay, Jim was a big help.  :bradsthumb: I owned my only other Mopar ( 70 challenger) back in 1976, and I don't think any of the other brands I've owned had the horn relay in the fuse panel. I'm old, it's true, but not to old to learn.
