I would think so. I guess they might be able to be cleaned up if you could get them out of the cylinders in one piece. I would think all the bearings would be junk, rings stuck, seized up most likely....probably be a ton of work to get right again.

  and you know what the worst part is? This is a prime case of a hoarder clinging onto parts that he never uses himself, until they're junk and of no use to anyone else either! The old "nah, me and the boy are gonna fix 'er up one of these days" Right! sure you are, and that'll be when pigs fly.

Take pistons out, polish them up on buffer, mount on piece of plywood and sell OEM 426 Hemi pistons on ebay for $100 !!

  ...OR for a third of the price you could buy a complete Packard Rolls Royce engine. I would imagine a Mustang to drop that into would set you back a little more than any 'Cuda out there.

I get a woody just thinking about a Merlin in a Cuda !!    But I suspect this would apply..........   

I refuse to sell this engine to anyone wishing to use it for tractor pulls. This will be clearly stated in the Bill of Sale that it is agreed the engine will not be used for that purpose. Go find something else to abuse if that is your purpose.
