I don't know 68's that well, but I think it's Dec 4th 67.  Making it a 68 model year engine.

It has no vin stampings in the area you mentioned @Cuda Cody Just need to verify bore? Here are a few pictures? What are these numbers below the starter pad? Can someone decode them?

383 = Cubic Inch
R = Regular Fuel
2337 = Built Dec 21st 1967
0299 = 299th engine built that day.

Charlie had one in the orange Cuda he sold on Ebay. your right unstamped 340 blocks are rare.

@Brads70  10,000 day calendar that Mopar used.   Don't ask me why, but I'm sure they had a good reason to use it.  It's matches the date stamped on the top pad too.

Top stamp is a D = 1968

Which is actually nice that both pieces of info match each other.
