750 or 650 carb?

So update, since it's rainy out today. I figured it would be a good day to mess with the carb... upon pulling the jets I see that number 413 was in it. Which is all the way rich. Going to put 410 jet in it and take down to stock calibration to see where that leads.

Update to the update.

Carb is a dog, won't stay in adjustment, and is very temperamental to anything done to it.

Ordered a Proform 750 Vac secondary street series this morning.

@Rdchallenger  I just got the exact same carb, for my 440. Haven't got it on yet, just too sweltering here in Houston, but looking forward to it. Will also be replacing the fuel pump while I'm at it.

Mine should be here tomorrow. Hopefully UPS gets it to me in the early afternoon.

a lot of what was described may not be rooted with the carb.   ignition timing and lack of idle timing is a big player in idle tune ups.

i set up similar cammed engines with16-18 initial timing and tune from there,

had issues with ede carbs and more than 5-6 psi fuel pressure too.
