Now we need a correct chart that shows all combinations of shaker/no shaker, 22"/26" radiators, and the engine codes with the correct hoses as per the broadcast sheets. Unfortunately, it appears that not all hose numbers are available in repro so you may have to deviate from the broadcast sheet and go with what you can buy.

FYI - that chart earlier in the thread came from one of the E-body restoration books and is not reliable due to errors and omissions.

I had that book around for years & it's full of errors. I'll have to check my David Wise books.

all the 1970 HEMI 'cuda & Challenger R/T b'cast sheets I looked at have "13" for inlet hose (UPPER) * with and without SHAKER hoods

all the 1970 440+6 'cuda & Challenger R/T w/N96 & 26" radiator b'cast sheets I looked at have "57" for inlet hose (UPPER)

all the 1970 440+6 'cuda & Challenger R/T w/N96 & 22" radiator b'cast sheets I looked at have "16" for inlet hose (UPPER)

Thank you for all the replies.

@MoparCarGuy  you have a pic of a b'cast sheet for a "U"-code 440HP 'cuda?  can you post an image or share it via email?

thanks, Dan

Yes, here is a non-Shaker, cuda440 broadcast sheet (BS23U0B276445) and its fender tag. Radiator is 26" 2998956 and upper radiator hose 2863257.

Here's the BCS for my '70 Cuda N96 440 4-speed "U" code 26" radiator and it also shows the "57" radiator hose.

Question.  When looking at the radiator hoses on Roseville, the "57" hose does not have a Penstar while the others do.  Is this factory correct?

@MoparCarGuy thanks, I misinterpreted your post - I thought you were claiming knowledge of a 440HP 4bbl 'cuda w/SHAKER   I've never seen one   :drinkingbud:

then  :takealook:  @usraptor

If anyone is interested my 71 Cuda 383 original shaker with a 26" radiator shows a 57 for the inlet (upper) radiator hose on the broadcast sheet.

What's with all my pics posting sideways????

MoparCarGuy
