I recently purchased a 1970 Barracuda with a built 470 Stroker and A833 4 Speed (supposed to be around 620 hp and 600 tq).  I was told by the elder previous owner it had an aftermarket Moser Dana 60 rearend and that it had 4.10 rear end gears.  However after driving the car more and checking RPMS and then spinning wheels and measuring driveshaft rotations, and finally talking to a shop, it turns out the previous owner had setup the car for 1/8th mile and he had 4.56 rearend gears.  Since I would like to drive the car on the streets and be able to cruise at highway or interstate speeds, I plan to change the rearend gears to the normal 3.54 gears or possibly even 3.23 gears.  I understand this will require a carrier change and will probably get much more expensive.  What should I look for in a new carrier?   I think there are a variety of posi carriers like strange, detroit locker, eaton, etc...   Anyone with advice on this would be greatly appreciated.  I have to go from 4.56 and larger carrier down to 4.10 and smaller carrier, what should I look for or what should I buy?
Thanks,
dakota

I would talk to Cass @ Dr Diff in MT
There is a company supplying 3.23 for the Dana again now .
