Blowout

Hi Guys, I was trying to decode the pad on a 383.  Just wanted to make sure I'm reading this right.  The second line is throwing me off.

1970 383
October 13, 2nd built that day
R for regular gas

Did I pass the test?
Thanks for the help.

6bblgt

the "2" is second shift

Blowout

@6bblgt Thank you very much.  I'm assuming the October 13th part was right?

6bblgt

yes,
F = 1970 model year
383 = cu.in.
10 = October
13 = 13th of month
2 = second shift
R = regular fuel

can you share a pic of the VIN number on the block?

Blowout

@6bblgt thanks for clearing that up. The space between the numbers was making it confusing for me.

Here is the only pic I got on me.

Block reads, 0B177506

6bblgt

is this a 2bbl or 4bbl engine?

Blowout

@6bblgt it has no intake on it, so I don't know. Any other way of knowing?  Engine block number is a 2468130-9.  Was thinking of using it in my Challenger since it comes with a matching VIN 727.
