I welded in a bung. There are clamp on options where you drill a hole in the pipe and clamp a bung. [FiTech]

What about a thread in option . . . Not a good welder.  Could certainly tap in some threads though . .  :ohyeah:   I think I need one of these . . . Where to buy from? :thinking:

Tubing is not thick enough to tap, nor is the o2 sealing surface flat when tightened against a round tube.

Definitely weld in because clamps will at some point or other leak giving you erroneous readings.

It seems like a viable alternative to me as it does have a gasket and won't nearly get as hot as something like a manifold. But yes, welding is better.

its was the first accessory I fitted to my car, on the first drive after installation, sorted out a problem I had, and gave me an indicator of a second (bad battery)! GREAT ITEM everyone should have one

Definitely weld on. Not hard as the bung has a small shaft that will fit into the hole and hold it there and then you just start welding making sure to not leave any gaps. Easier if you drop the pipe (especially if you are laying under the car). Concentrate the heat on the bung and let the weld flow onto the pipe and "weld". You don't have to do it in one steady stream of welding, just small welds connected together, just remember to start each weld about 1/2 on the last one (overlap them).

Goody, You were using a digital gauge for your warlock. Did you find reading numbers to the right of the decimal difficult? Have read that numbers change to fast to read?  :notsure:
Some like analog better, supposedly easier to read, needle stays steady?
Noticed your ebody will have analog AFR gauge.

I have no issues with reading the digital gauge and prefer it. At idle, for instance, I can watch the AFR change in 0.1 intervals, you can guesstimate that with a needle, but not all that well.

The AFR gauge in my 'Cuda is to just keep an eye on the overall tune, and not for "tuning". If I shoot up to 16:1 at 5500rpm, I want to know about it. The ECU and datalogging will handle how I actually tune the car.
