Turns out the guts unside were going bad really quick.

I dropped some oil down the shaft, then ran the motor for 30 seconds. It qot nice and quiet. Then I ran it for 20 minutes on the battery and no change. Smooth and quiet. So I will go with it and see what happens. Taking in consideration that I run a fan blower 20 minutes a year maybe in any of my old mopars.
