I have a stock 1970 383 and in the process of replacing an AVS with a new Holley dual feed carburetor. I have a few installation questions:

1. The stock ignition coil interferes with the front bowel fuel connection. Curious how Holley owners mount their coil. Trying to remain close to stock looking.

2. I bought a Holley dual fuel line (34-150) but it hits the coil mounting tab on the manifold. I could bend the line or grind on the manifold. Is there a better way to run the fuel lines?

3. The carb linkage stud from the AVS does not work with the Holley. Does anyone know the correct linkage stud that I would need?

4. Strange that Holley puts the PCV hose connection on the rear of the carburetor instead of the front.

What about a 440-6 Coil bracket?
It mounts on the back intake bolts on the passenger side. It may need to be finessed to fit a 383.

With Holley's you may need to use their 20-7 throttle lever extension.

I usually turn the coil or use the 6 pack mounting bracket, I also usually bend the line upward a bit to clear or run a thin spacer to lift the carb as the secondary linkage can also interfere with the manifold  .
I agree with the 20-7 Holley linkage bracket

Is the 440 6-pack coil relocation bracket painted engine color?

Will it fit a 383?

The bracket would have been installed with the intake before painting, so yes engine color.
I do not have first hand experience installing one on a 383. However, 440's and 383's share heads, so the intake bolts are in the same spot.

Another option is to use Mancini Racing's universal coil bracket which works similar to the 440-6 bracket.

Respectfully disagree, I believe coil and bracket went on after paint. Here's a couple of photos of a 440-6 engine that was at Carlisle on display some years ago, I think it was for a Roger Gibson or Frank Badelson resto.

The bracket appears to be painted but the clamp that holds the coil is not.

I had an issue running a holley with a 50 cc accelerator pump hit the manifold. Had to run a spacer for clearance.

My apologies, I was thinking the bracket and clamp were all one piece, I see now they are 2 separate pieces.

Have you tried just moving the existing coil bracket over to use just one of the manifold bolt holes?
I am running an Edelbrock Performer RPM on my RB engine. I drilled the soft aluminum and tapped the hole so the coil is mounted vertically. Obviously, this is not an option for your cast-iron 383 manifold.

I recall doing this on my mighty demon equipped 383 in my old Super Bee.  I made a bracket using a flat mending plate from the hardware store and mounted it to the stock coil bracket holes.  it placed the coil further forward as Mopar Car Guy shows.

Or you could try one of the super slick coil relocation brackets that AR engineering makes.  Here is their site.  Very nice pieces.  I ended up using the big block one that's similar to the 6 pack bracket.  https://arengineering.com/home-page/coil-brackets/

I also recommend a phenloic 4 hole spacer and the Holley mopar adaptor bracket for the throttle/kickdown.

I found some photos of the different combos I have tried over the years I had her.

Yes , I have done this , I have also mounted the coil at the front using just 1 bolt , not hard to relocate the coil to a workable position .
Using one of the braided steel fulelines is anothe option for intake clearance .

Thank you for all the great responses!

One more issue: I'm using a Holley 34-150 fuel line to connect to the carburetor. Unfortunately, the Holley stuff is all 5/8 inverted flare and all of my fuel lines are 5/16. I've investigated various fittings but can't seem to come up with something that will connect 5/8 inverted flare to 5/16 fuel line/ fittings. I'd like a 90 degree fitting like below but can't find one. Any ideas?

Racer57

Single bolt mount using only hole closest to distributor.  Sorry, but don't remember what it was for originally.

Chryco Psycho

Weatherford doesn't have something ? you don't need a tube with a nut to seal into an inverted flare , there are fittings that will seal in an inverted flare .
