I was checking for a vibration in my driveline. I had the car up on jack stands and ran the car in drive. The wheel on the drivers side would turn, stop and turn again. It does this intermittently. The right side is okay. I have 3.23 gears with posi. When I drive, I would sometimes hear a clicking sound on the left rear side at low speed. I posted a link to the video.

I think your "money pit" just got a little deeper....that issue does not look good in my opinion. :o

If it were my car, I'd be pulling the 3rd member out of the rear axle for an inspection.    One of the early steps in that process is dropping the drive shaft, so it would be good to take a close look at the condition of the universal joints too.  Post some photos or video links here and you'll get some more targeted help. With that kind of noise, I'm guessing that the problem will be pretty obvious once you have things opened up.

If you need more detailed guidance in this work, just ask.

The driveshaft and U joints have about 200 miles on it. I think I will pull the third member and see what's going on. The noise is just on the drivers side.  Thanks.

I'll probably pull it after the holidays.  Thanks

:iagree: Pull it out now....

"Said the nun to the vicar!" but good advice nonetheless. If it makes you feel any better, I'm in the same boat! Good luck.
