Transmission Output Shaft Measurement ?

Does anybody know the distance from the center of the output shaft up to the floor/crossmember directly above on a E Body with a stock transmission ?

I had a picture somewhere, but I can't find it.....

Here's a Tremec. but I'm not sure if that's where it NEEDS to be ? or is this picture showing a problem ?

The lift currently has a car without an engine or trans on it so I can't put one on it to check.  This is the only photo I can find and it really doesn't help.
