Hey guys,

As you know I've installed a Tremec TKO 600 transmission in my 71 Challenger.  It was bought from the now defunct Keisler.  I've had my share of mismatched components from them in that conversion kit but I've worked them out and this is the last piece of the puzzle.

Last night I went to install the speedo cable and it wouldn't fit into the back of the speedo.  They sent me the stock cable for the stock gauges.  The one that snaps into the speedo.  From the start I told them I have aftermarket AutoMeter gauges that screws into the rear of the speedo.

I was looking on Ebay and a Ford cable kept coming up but I couldn't be certain.  So here are my questions.

1. What is the length of the cable?

2. Can I get the correct cable at Napa or the same locally?  I would rather do that if it's not correct be able to return it.  Plus I want to finish it up today.

3. Is there a specific part # or year make and model I should ask for?  Many of those kids behind the counter have no clue and want the car information even thought it doesn't apply.  They don't like curve balls.

I appreciate the help.

Only part of your question that I can answer is length. Buy some 1/4" rubber hose and route it to figure out length.

I googled " ADAPTER FOR SPEEDOMETER CABLE" and this came up?

No idea if speedo cables were "generic" back then? I doubt it?
I'd get in touch with these guys as they bought out Keisler  https://shiftsst.com/
