@734406PK Thanks for your suggestions.  Will this work?

https://m.ebay.com/itm/25-1-4-Stainless-Steel-Wave-Curved-Washers-A2-or-18-8-Stainless-D137A/171779367707?hash=item27fed9231b:g:zRgAAOSwL7VWtTeP:sc:USPSFirstClass!93536!US!-1

Yes they should work just fine. You can double them up under each bolt if necessary. I would get the 18-8 stainless steel wave washers, no rust!

Don't do this.  For anyone who finds this in the future just know that you got to be really gentle on tightening these bolts.   :bricks:

Used a torque wrench and obviously need some help doing math next time.

:sorry:  Neil was right.... I was going to suggest long set screws, washer and nylock nuts but I'm a little late.

I cannot count how many times I have seen this , it can be repaired with a tig welder  :sorry:

Ouch! A little welding will fix that like Neil said.

Lesson learned and at least I didnt break something major.  Just frustrating as they are brand new.  Thinking I will not use a torque wrench on these again, just snug by hand and try some black RTV where the gasket hits the valve cover.

If you decide to fix that cover, you could move it to the other side. That way the weld would be in the back...and less noticeable. I'm curious to see how much that is going to cost you to get fixed.

I used to have a set of the black wrinkle covers. I sold them to a guy because he cracked the ones he had. Must be fairly common. Put a straight edge on the valve cover rails and see how far from flat they are.
