Which Model Cars Were My Engine and Transmission Originally Installed In?

My 1973 Cuda has a 440 and a 4 speed that were installed in it several owners back. The engine castings/stampings reveal that it was installed in a 1970 model year vehicle assembled at the old Jefferson Ave plant. The transmission was installed in a 1970 model year vehicle assembled at the Lynch Road plant. I think that Jefferson Ave was building C bodies in 1970, and Lynch Road was building B bodies. Is this correct? Is there anyway to narrow down which specific car or car model they were originally installed in using the partial VIN's on these two parts? It makes little/no difference value wise, but I find the history interesting. Thanks.

Engine: OC XXXXXX  O=1970, C=Jefferson Ave and XXXXXX = the last 6 numbers ( sequence) of the VIN
Trans: OA XXXXXX O=1970 A= Lynch Road and XXXXXX = last 6 numbers of the VIN

And no, I don't have the engine or trans that belongs in your car, lol.

If you post the VINs @6bblgt might be able to tell you what they were originally in.  He's really good with Hamtramck and LA, but it's worth a shot to see what he knows about those plants.

People with extensive registries or years of studying these cars can basically make assumptions based on other cars assembled around your VIN....not an exact science, but a very educated guess...

I don't have enough to narrow it down between a Chrysler & an Imperial, is it stamped "HP"?
Do you have pics available of the VIN & top pad stampings - 0C197198 would've been built late February 1970.

0A113392 was an early September '69 scheduled Plymouth B-body (Road Runner, GTX, etc.) do you know if it is 18- or 23-spline?

WOW! Amazing! You passed my unintentional "test', lol. I should have known not to trust my memory at my age.  You are correct on late February for the engine. I rechecked the top pad and the correct assembly date is February 26, 1970. Besides the 2 26, the only things on the top pad is F440 . No HP.  The balancer is the non weighted type such as were used on an internally balanced 350 hp/ steel crank engine.
I don't know if the trans is an 18 or 23 spline. Thanks for taking time to check this out and post.
