Where is the go-to spot for oil pumps and hydraulic lifters?

I've got the engine pulled out for a rear main seal, these are just a few of the things I'd like to replace while I'm in there, would there be any other recommendations for anything else while I'm in there?

Engine is basically stock except for valve springs and a cam

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from Mancini over the years.

are you happy with your camshaft?  if you're that far into it, now is the time to swap a cam.

I'm more than happy with my cam, this thing makes pulls all the way to 6500 RPM.      Sounds chunky.   😊

Why do you want to replace the current lifters?  With all of the cam and lifter failure horror stories out there these days, I'd be reluctant to change out a working set of lifters unless they absolutely needed it. :alan2cents:

If it wasn't already changed recently with your cam swap, take a look at how much slop you have in the timing chain.

After the car sits for winter, the lifters tick for a little while upon start up.

Your choice, but I'd probably choose to live with that slight annoyance knowing that my cam and lifters were already well mated.  Seems to me that the word on the street is that installing a flat tappet cam and lifters in this day and age is a pretty big gamble and product quality only seems to be spiraling down the toilet even faster now with all the global health pandemic issues.  Personally, I probably wouldn't take that bet unless I was upgrading the entire valve train for a roller cam.

10 or so years ago, USA made Johnson lifters were the go to lifter, but their website doesn't even show flat tappet lifters as available any longer.  If you're set on replacing them, I'd probably talk to someone at Hughes or another Mopar builder to see what they are currently recommending. :alan2cents:

Not much of an option.

Where do you find a high pressure oil pump?

While the engine is out throw in a set of freeze plugs... Knock the old ones out, flush the cooling system throughly then install new plugs...

@Chris D. How many miles on your current oil pump? You might not need to replace it. Take it apart and measure the clearances. The service manual explains this well. The oil pump is a fairly simple part.

And it is always well lubricated...

Uncertain on its age/miles...
I've found too many sketchy things on this car that I've remedied
I figure (while I'm in there)

Your money..your car. Replacing the lifters will not solve a ticking issue after an engine has sat all winter. They bleed down when the car sits. I would live with what you have. If I were you and I had no idea what the engine was I would replace all the gaskets, check bearings while pan is off, replace freeze plugs, maybe timing chain. If you had no other issues before with good oil pressure, I would button it up and move on... :alan2cents:

:iagree: I have a 2012 Challenger R/T with 24K miles on it. It gets about one tank of gas a year. When I start it up each year it ticks for a wee bit. There's no way the lifters are bad, it's just drain down. I cringe for a minute and carry on.

All it takes is a spring to make an oil pump into a "high pressure" unit. You never said what engine you were working on. Assumed it was a 340 based on your picture of a Summit oil pump guide.
