Torn on where to install O2 bung for Holley efi

TTI can install the O2 bung at the collector or the reducer adapter (about 6 inches downstream of the collector).  If TTI does the bung, it doesn't void their warranty and the entire header gets coated at the same time.

Here's where I'm torn: Wait time for the collector bung is 4-6 weeks while the reducer adapter is just 1 week.  However, I'm installing the Holley Sniper efi and the best location is at the collector - the reducer adapter is okay but if there's a leak at the flange, it will confuse the efi.

Do I just wait or compromise with the reducer adapter?

Tough call. It really is better in the header collector. Good gaskets will help though and you can turn them to get the leads facing exactly where you want while making sure the sensor is pointing slightly down.

I agree. Wait. The fact that they coat it is a bonus. Should look nice and clean.

Thanks for the opinions.  I'm going to put the bung in the collector, but summer is almost over!

Holley suggests installing the buns at 2 and 10 o'clock so the sensors point slightly downward.  Would this slight angle interfere with anything?  Otherwise, 3 and 9 o'clock is the safe bet.

They suggest that because moisture build up on them shortening the lifespan. Mounting them on an angle downwards  uses gravity to let it run off. Also helps with ground clearance.

In the header is best to minimize the number of potential leak points upstream of the oxygen sensor. That's where my Hemi sensor is.
