@kawahonda What's the purpose of scammers monitoring the Buy/Sell threads?  :notsure:

To send you lots of PMs to have you email them so they can start spamming away...

Maybe his wife caught him on the soft porn thread "Sugar and Spice" and took offense to the sexually explicit images and thinks it shouldn't be what a car forum is about. Face it, the "Sugar and Spice" thread has more views and posts than any other thread! I question some of the members motives who continually post on it. Would you want them around your teenage daughter? The thread prevents the forum from ever being a family oriented forum. To me, it is bait to increase post count.

Since day one I've always agree with the fact that there's no need for girly pictures on our car site, but I've simply chosen to ignore most of "picture" threads on here....and I too wonder what type of guy feels a need to post that stuff....but hey.....to each their own....for the most part I think we got a great group of guys on here :grouphug:

My point of view is a bit different , I am invested in this site , I will do what it takes to generate interest in this site add members , build traffic , if people visit here because of pictures great , it seems the sugar & spice thread is one of the most popular , Cody had no issue with Roadman starting it but it could be removed  , it would be great to fill the prize shop again & generate more new members . I know we had a vision of building this site into the best resource for our interest in E bodies out there , with more resources there is a LOT more we could add to this site ! Such as more videos similar to the steering column rebuild one , But Cody is very busy with life right now & I don't have a car near me to tear down & do videos right now .
I would love to do a 50th Anniversary Tee shirt for this club this year but funds are not there . I planned to pay for it out of my own pocket but opportunities to make extra funds this year didn't pan out so instead of making more I am earning less  . Right now with the lockdown I have zero cash flow & Carlisle may not even happen !
I want to attend Carlisle for the 50th  but Carlisle may not even happen this year & I may not even be able to return home if I go as there are no inbound flights into Panama until maybe July at this point & that is only rumor , nothing official .I might not even be allowed into the US as I have no status there & I would probably have to quarantine for 14 days once I get there . :alan2cents:

I gotta say I don't post much either but I search a lot and find great information from past threads to help me with my build.

It's the best forum on the Net I think. The biggest thing is the respect for all members whether if they are a newbie or a veteran. I don't waste time on sites where keyboard warriors feel the need to cut down other member continuously. A few threads have no interest for me and I don't follow them, seems to me that is a right that our veterans fought for decades ago and I enjoy it.

Oh dear! Have we arrived Pilgrim-style, to the land of political correctness already? That never-neverland where only cars are to be given obeisance while wearing a hairshirt and averting our unworthy male eyes from those temptresses who will lead us all into the valley of temptation. Those, oh so innocent female daughters of ours forced into wearing those scanty outfits, obviously against their will? Where, oh where, will we find ourselves a savior to lead us all from this vale of ignominy? But wait! What light from yonder window breaks?! God help us  :unbelievable:
Right on!! if some one is offended by it don't click on to it.  :bigthumb: :haha:

THIS  :iagree:
The biggest thing is not to intimidate members, especially new posters. If that happens, lurkers are afraid to post a question in fear of being called an idiot or whatever.
If someone posts a 'basic' question, it reminds me of where I was years ago, and then I try to answer the question as best I can. I've never responded by only saying 'use the search feature'.

I assume everyone is wondering if the account got deleted.  Typically we don't delete valid accounts just because .... why delete it?  Maybe one day this member would have the need to come back?  Plus don't want to have a bunch of threads where there are a alot of posts that say "guest".  Members will wonder why they left?
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!
