That T/A rotted so bad it couldn't be saved at the time. That was a high school prom picture. And the couple is still going strong today. He does have a twin to that T/A today though.

They put round tail lights and changed the grill in later episodes, and kept the color the same.

Here is a shot of the 71 Barracuda convertible with the tail lights changed to the 72 tail.
That is also the Satellite wagon that the family banged up!
