IRON MAN

My Dad in the late 50's early 60's was stationed at Vandenburg AFB. He then received orders to Naval War College, Norfolk, Va. He special  ordered a 1960 Chrysler 413 cu in, baby blue with white top, from the local dealer for the trip across states. We towed a trailer for 30 days zig zagging to the major Nat'l Parks to set up camp. I learned how to drive with this beast in high school. It would chirp the tires going into passing gear at 65 mph!

Damn military brat....   Saw most of the USA & Europe from the back seat of a Chrysler while Pops was being transferred from base to base.... Odd to me that an Air Force guy would be sent to Naval War College....

IRON MAN

Wild R/T, My father served 32 years in the Corps of Engineers ARMY. He was the Civil Engineer responsible for building the missile silos at Vandenburg AFB, during the cold war. Evidently  my father was sent to the Naval War College to help prepare him for the ten years he served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Pentagon.

Wild 1970 styles: I remember wearing boots and straight jeans! Though they were usually tan or brown.  Must have been a Texas car?

Pretty sweet side view mirror.
Definitely after market!  No one worried about getting the correct mirror back then! along with the day 2 wheels and Dodge sticker on the front fender. 8)

FF4 Light-Green ... it's one of those colors where either you love it  :inlove:  or hate it  :barf:

I had a '70 Chally 'vert once ... it was originally FF4 ... but (fortunately for me) the guy who owned it before me had it repainted in EB5 Bright-Blue ... which I much preferred over FF4.  :thankyou:
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

That old vert looks pretty clean there, It would be interesting to see photos of it at 6 month intervals from that photo I bet.
