The Canyon 2 fire is just down the freeway from me. About 20 miles , no jeopardy on my concern the smoke and campfire smell is the bother. The major artery into Orange Co. from here, which is Ca. State 91,  has been interrupted, just rerouting to get into Orange Co. Fortunately fire is burning south, where Im east. My Son drives local freight, so it does affect his Dailey driving, according to him it sux big time, makes his day longer.    Thanks,   Al

The fires just north of me, it seems someone waited for the perfect conditions to start fires.

I haven't heard confirmation that the fires were set but it does seem to be a reoccurring problem..... California is a tinderbox every year but since we actually had some rain last year & stuff grew which is now fuel it's worse than ever....  If arson is the cause the perps need to be caught & exterminated.... Maybe publicly burned at the stake....

Horrible!  :('  I can't even imagine.....

That's rough: We've had it bad up here too. We'll see what next year brings I guess.

It's on the news 24/7 here.

The fires are about 40 miles from me and we can see and smell smoke from it.

Really a tough year for so many people all over the country from all these disasters.

My mom and sister live 2 blocks from each other in the same neighborhood in Napa. They started getting pre evacuation notices at 12:30 am Monday morning. Called me at 4 am, evacuation notice given up to 2 streets away, mom could see flames coming down a hill near her. Suggested to her and my Sister they should just go now. So sister is with a friend and mom is with my daughter just down the street. Shes been with us since Monday morning. Winds were blowing pretty good on Sunday and Monday, calm now ,but supposed to pick up tonight. Nephew lives in Napa, his work place is burned/gone. His father in laws place looks like it's going any minute.

Another alert sent 8:15 tonight to her, police and fire to be in and monitor her neighborhood tonight. My guess from watching news is high winds expected and to change direction to her area.

Best wishes to all you up there around Napa. I can only imagine...
We down here in SoCal are getting hit also but it pales in comparison to there.

Yesterdays excitement for the ride home.... 2.5 hours to get 22 miles. No complaint as I still have a home to come to.
Life is to be viewed thru the windshield. Not rear view mirror.
