so when I first brought the Barracuda home @ 3 years ago I started getting into searching craigslist mode (like I'm sure we all do) and ran across some powder coated 14" ralleys with new BFGs. thought it was for 4, but turned out to be only 2 but had caps and the guy only wanted $300, so I went ahead and bought em (it was out of a shop, so figured they were legit). figured eventually I'd buy 2 more. well, last week I ran across another ad for 2 14" ralleys .... with new BFGs. looked powder coated. hmmmmm ..... a little email exchange and sounds like they might be a match. call the guy today and he said a guy is driving up from Pueblo (@2hr drive) to get em .... bummer .... call me if he doesn't show. @ 7:30 I get a call that the guy no showed, am I still interested? only if I can see em tonight (flying out to Chicago tomorrow for 3 weeks of training). sure enough, they are the matching 2 to my others. turns out the guy he bought em from had the other 2 stolen a few years ago. hmmmm =\ not cool, hate knowing the 1st 2 were stolen (I hate thieves with a passion), but nothing to do now. so now I have a matching set of powder coated ralleys with brand new BFGs, lol. crazy coincidence to get them back together

on another note, the guy I got it from ..... WOW .... talk about a Mopar garage. on a 2 post rack has a '69 Barracuda, below it is a '69 Roadrunner, in the front garage he is putting together another '69 Roadrunner. then he showed me the gem that has been sitting at its current stage of painted for 7 years and waiting its turn ..... '70 Hemi Cuda, 4spd in B5 blue ...... you know when you get the cold shivers running up and down your body ..... yeah .... just wow.

if it had been the original owner I would have handed them over. would have sucked, but I wouldn't be right with myself if I didn't. apparently the original owner sold the rest of his goodies a couple years back (hence why this guy ended up with them in a parts lot) and may have passed on.
