1957-1959 Dodge Sweptside Pick up

Was not a regular production vehicle. Exner had no funds to design and build it,
Built with bin parts; Never made it to a production line.

They started with a standard long-bed custom cab, grafted on rear quarter panels and a back bumper from the two-door station wagon, and then hung on every shiny trim piece they could get their hands on  .

Did not sell well, only about 1200 units made by HAND. Most were loaded vehicles with a V-8 and automatic. Most were red and white.


Imagine finding one of these in a barn ?

1970 Polara convertible

Production:  842

Dodge sold roughly 60,000 Polaras in 1970 with only 842 convertibles.  That is simply a reflection of the dwindling popularity the full-sized convertibles were experiencing during that time.  Yet the full-sized cars weren't the only ones...

In August 1969, the "Dude Sport Trim Package" was released. This was essentially the D100 already in production, with an added black or white body-side "C" stripe decal; a Dodge Dude decal on the box at the rear marker lamps; tail lamp bezel trim; and dog dish hub caps with trim rings. The Dude's tailgate was unique, featuring a Dodge decal on a flat tailgate surface, without the typical tailgate's embossed logo. The Dudes were only offered in the 1970 and 1971 model years and only 1,500 to 2,000 Dudes were produced.[4][5]
I thought they were all big blocks  :thinking:

Basically a Duster but designated a Super Bee 318 4bbl 4 spd sold in Mexico only , unique wheels & centers too

Came from 6bblgt on Moparts. 2008 data;

Here are some M46 numbers from another source in 2007 (Cuda Hunter): he is a strong advocate of the M46 cars.
18 6 cylinders
415 V8
21 Convert
2 Coupes
They are pretty rare!
any newer numbers on this?

Hagerty Article on M-46 cars.(though no always the most accurate). They state less then 450 built!

"Truth be told, no 1970 Plymouth E-body is cheap, but the base Barracuda is cheaper than the performance 'Cuda variant. If you find one with option code M46, you'll have something that actually looks racier than any 'Cuda out there. The equipment included with this obscure option is somewhat up for debate because no factory images exist aside of the Plymouth shop manual, but the important stuff included a Elastomeric rear quarter-panel air scoop in front of the rear wheels, matte black lower-body trim with white and red pinstripes, rear-panel black-out (similar to the 'Cuda's) complemented with chrome trim from the Gran Coupe, and blacked-out valence front and rear. Per Chrysler's U.S. records, fewer than 450 were built, with many losing their identity over time, so check those fender tags when you're hunting."

Rare and never looked factory to me but:
V21 hood stripes were available and not so common; but never saw V25 rear deck stripes that were factory. Can't be many with this option!
Here is a 72 RR with both.
