Dumb question... or maybe not. I pulled out a few pieces of junk paper from the sides of the trunk where it drops off in the lower rear quarter, and was thinking a missing part may have fallen down there. I can really see in there and my hand only goes so far. It was a pain to get the couple items out.

What do people do to view whats down there or to fish things out? Just currious

I personally would get a plasma cutter.  Use a magnet if metal or remove the plastic plug and get a air nozzle in there . you might dis lodge it. good luck

Great question, I know I have some stuff down there too.

I got one of these, it's come in handy for a lot of things

The only thing flat earthers fear, is sphere itself.

I put a skinny long end on the shop vac, use that with one hand. With the other I fashion a hook out of coathanger (or medium thick wire) to scrape along the bottom of the crevice.

I recall avatar_Cuda Cody @Cuda Cody telling me a really cool story about finding some really awesome history down in one of those. I'd start with an inspection mirror and one of those pinch type grabbers, both sold at Harbor Freight for a couple bucks. You might find some delicate history in there. Treat it as such before turning loose a blow gun or a shop vac on it.

Finding the original owners little wallet was pretty cool.  But being able to look him up online and then CALL HIM and get to talk to him was beyond sweet.  He remembered losing it but had no idea it was in the car.  He told me some cool stories about the car and driving off the dealer lot.

Oh sweet, I got me some credit card numbers  :D This is an interesting design. I wonder if some one designed it that way out of spite. LOL.

I don't have anything of value down there since I replaced my entire trunk a couple years ago. I am missing an SE trim that goes on the top of the fender and I was hoping it dropped down there since I can't find it any where else and it was in the trunk  for  a bit. But I found lots of paper and platic wrappers that made there way into that abyss. LOL

Here's what I pulled out of the 72 Challenger trunk drop offs. I used a HR grab-all, flexible magnet, Vacuum cleaner, compressed air, etc. They were clean using the flexible camera scope someone posted here. It's a pain but worth it.

Hilarious that there are five different gas company credit cards in the wallet of a Cuda owner!!

Don't use any heat! Once I was working on a rusty old bucket and was welding patches on the outside. I began to see smoke and sprayed water down into the drop-off. I then dug into it to see what the issue was and after pulling out a complete bundle of clean but elderly shop rags; you may infer my concern when further digging revealed a falling apart box of 12ga. shotgun shells! Jesus! Be careful!  :stop:
