Non E-Body but since there are some knowlegable guys on here thought I`d ask you opinions on this GTX. It`s a local online auction and my boss is interested in it. My questions are - the number on the block looks double hit, just a bad factory stamp or a cover up, fonts correct? Also what would be a good price for it figuring adding the 17% byers fee?   The Coronet may not be too bad either as a street/strip car if it goes cheap enough as it needs some work/detailing.

I can only see the one pic of the car, bill of sale and intention to sell.  How do you see more pics of the car?   :notsure:

I couldn't get any other photos either. The car looks really nice in that one shot though. I have had a couple of 69 GTX's and I really like them. Things I noticed are red hood grilles which should indicate Air Grabber, the wheel well trim and rocker pin stripe are there, grille moldings look to be installed correctly and the quarter panel wheel openings look to be the correct contour. These all show up on poorly restored cars.
Something to look for is the condition of the pot metal trunk applique and tail light bezels. They are frequently badly pitted and are expensive items to find good replacements and refinish correctly.

17% buyers fee? Wow that's ridiculous. Anyway it's a collision shop body job and an amateur resto. Bottom line is a driver quality car with a $25k end value. Parts painted that shouldn't be, incorrect parts and spray bomb detailing. I like the car but it isn't show quality. It would be a great car to drive a lot and not worry about if you are caught in a rain storm. I would expect a bit of bondo in it and overlap welding on the quarter repairs etc.

Looks like a nice GTX. Nice driver + level car. The 17% buyers fee would push me away!

We are going to look at it Monday, it`s definitely a driver car by the pics so I was thinking $20-30 depending on condition.

I saw that the reserves have been met. 18k for the GTX and 7,500 for the Superbee clone.

I wouldn't be surprised if some crazy bidding occurred and pushed it past it's real value.

The two vin pix on the GTX look bogus to me. Question is why? This could haunt the auction house and buyer later.
