Happy Memorial Day to all our American friends and make a toast, to "absent friends".  :yessir:
In the immortal words of Jimmy Scott- "pace yourself!"

originally known as decoration day, It was starter after the civil war. the last weekend in May the family's would decorate the graves of the deceased solders. It was declared A holiday in 1971 by president Nixon.

:iagree:

It's the reason for the weekend.

Yup.  When I was a kid we spent one day at the cemetery putting flags on the graves of family/fallen soldiers.

Today I'm just going to chill to some tunes and have some shots of whiskey toasting my classmates, fellow soldiers and friends who perished fighting for this country and what is right.

I'm so beset these days with the general retardedness of this country.  Pussification of America is almost complete.  We collectively believe in nothing, base our society's morals on nothing, and act like jerk offs.   Character is suppose to matter.

Not pointed at anyone here .. just venting.

First shot to Donny ... great athlete, great guy ... knew him socially at school ... shot down in Iraq 1991 at age 25 ... bottoms up man!

I can't recall the last time it was over 80 degrees on Memorial day out here.

Last week it was 90 degrees.  ::)

Tomorrow at the show, the average will be in the mid to high 60's.
Certainty not what i call toasty.

I will be working all weekend.

Personally I feel that my working on these days honors those who fell so our people could build this country into something greater than it is.

I HONOR those who haven fallen by building my community.   Thank you to all those who have family who have died for my right.

For 6 of us it was the first time we had seen the show Breaking Bad.  So we all watched the first 5 episodes together and then a couple months later we watched the last 5 episodes together.  @J-Code Jeni  dressed up as a Los Pollos Hermanos employee and I dressed up Walt.  Even shaved my head, but that wasn't a big deal as I'm half bald already.   :haha:  We even had some fun trivia between episodes.

Some of you might recognize Chris Driscoll from season 2 and 3 of Graveyard Carz.  He's a good friend and the one that suggested we all watch Breaking Bad.

That show was fantastic!  And getting to watch it with a bunch of Mopar friends was just the best.  Life is great.  :grouphug:
