I know right.  High ground in Florida usually means a landfill.   :haha:  Seriously

I think they mean they are buying you a lift !

I was just in Melbourne doing some training and ran away yesterday. Left for Charleston, we will get some of it but not the brunt for certain. Though it is always a bit of roulette with these monsters.

Stay safe everyone.

On a side note, when I evacuated aircraft to the west coast of Florida, I met a guy with a74 Barracuda he is putting a 5.7 into. Didn't have much time to talk though.

Made it to ft Lauderdale Sat and back to Houston Monday.
My niece is leaving to volunteer teach in Ghana for 8 months so I said if the plane will land Sat, will worry about getting home later.
My 11:45 Monday flight cancelled, got it moved up to 9:00 and was one of the last out before airport shutdown.
Crazy stall over the Bahamas.

Just started getting some rain and a light breeze this morning. We will get hit with it tomorrow. I have been off work all week because they closed down our factory. Storm surge in Charleston is expected to hit 8.7 feet. The highest point in Charleston is 12 feet above sea level and it floods at 7 feet so they are going to get hammered. Lucky for us we live 30 miles inland. Prayers to everybody in the path.

DAYLEY/CHALLENGER

Waiting on it in Rockingham too. Was expecting a load of paper roll stock out of Charleston the first of this week.  Now, don't know when we will get it. Ripple effect carries a long way!

I am just a few minutes from downtown Charleston in West Ashley. First lost power around 4am, have a generator so it is no big deal. Lots of branches in the yard, still have cable and Internet. Will see in a few more hours.....

Everyone effected by this storm . . . please stay safe!  Haven't heard of any loss of life yet??   :clapping:
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

I have family in Little River and Carolina Shores. They had tornadoes hit very near by and flooding. Everyone is safe so far.

I'm a mile north of Wilmington and it just started to get strong.

Got pretty windy on Thursday morning. A large pine tree fell on a power pole and knocked out power for 9 hours. Rain was not as bad as we though. It never really poured down more just a steady light rain. My wife and I spent 4 hours of yard clean up on Friday but everything is back to normal.
I am glad everybody made it through safe. There is another one out there now but it is turning back toward Africa. Tis the Season.

@js27 I've heard it said they like the rains down in Africa. They should write a song about it!  :drunk: glad everyone is ok.
