As good as Fluery has been playing; I would put my money on the Knights.
You can hardly get anything past him. No matter how good a team.

How in the Hell did they get him as good as he is?

The salary cap. Plain and simple.

I love Fluery. The Penguin's have a much younger goalie now. He was hurt early in the playoffs last year, and Fluery saved the day in the first round for the Pens. The trouble is, your #1 goalie is ten years younger than Fluery and makes the minimal salary. So, there was no way the Penquins could pay a back up goalie 5 million+ to sit on the bench.  Fluery deserved to be a starting goalie somewhere anyway. So the Penquins lost him in the expansion draft.

YEP...Pens had a choice, lose Murry or Flurey...time will tell if they made the right choice.  The expansion draft rules only allowed you to protect one goalie I believe.

Would love to see them both in the final...hell of a story!!!

Hell of a game last night.

all down to one game...could be a nail biter.  Lets hope the refs don't screw it up for either team.  The officiating in the series has been awful!!  :foul: :foul: :bricks: :bricks:

Personally I would love to see the Leafs advance, but if past history is an indicator  :console: :bye:

there are three guys left on the team from the last team they faced the Bruins in a game 7...recent history mean nothing.   :alan2cents:

OMG!

Are you watching Nashville vs. Avalanche game 5?    :unbelievable:

We gave the Preds a run for their money, but inexperience and playing your 3rd string goalie isn't going to get you very far in the playoffs. It was a good season, looking forward to next year.

BTW - I can't see the Preds getting past Vegas.

Jim AAR

Preds have to get by Winnipeg first and that will be a knockdown & dragout series and whoever wins is probably going to be pretty beat up, flip a coin for the winner, very closely matched teams.
Vegas will not beat the Sharks the way that Martin Jones is playing. Vegas only beat the Kings because the Kings are too old and injured, if it wasn't for Quick the Kings would not have even made the playoffs.  :alan2cents:

Well at least Toronto gave it their all, good game tonight......maybe next year :bye:

Yep  :iagree: they gave Boston a scare, but Home ice advantage in a Game 7 is huge......

What did I say earlier...Watch out for Boston.

Bean power is strong stuff.

Especially the next day. "brrpm"    :haha:

Topcat

They did a survey on viewers who would they like to see win the Western Division going to the Stanley playoffs.

Sharks barely edged out Las Vegas by a hair.   :fingerscrossed:

Jay Bee

Well, other than the Ducks/Sharks series, the teams with the better regular season record won their Round One's.

L.A.Kings swept in 4 games by Las Vegas.

Next up... Sharks.

Gulp.  :-[

Amazing...who would have picked them to make the playoffs let alone sweep their first ever playoff series.

Jason

First of all, I do watch a fair share of NHL Hockey.

If you watched last nights game of the Sharks vs. Knights game 1; it was an eye opener on what's to come.

Now keep in mind the Sharks are a pretty respectable team on ice.
L.V. Knights scored 4 goals in 5 minutes. The Sharks tried to put a game together but they were totally out matched.

If any of you think your team can beat them, you're not being a realist.
It's nice to dream but even the  Penguins won't match them.

They're bigger, faster, more physical, and quicker than anyone right now.
