As some of you know, I've been itching to get back into a 1970 Challenger convertible.  I am going to look at one on Sunday that has good potential - not a basket case but needs some clean up and minor work to build into what I would want.

The problem I have is to get it I would have to sell one of my current cars.  I have my 1970 383 auto R/T SE (non numbers) and a '68 Barracuda convertible 416 4spd.  I could get more $$ for the Challenger.  But I am an e-body guy at heart.  On the flip side, I completely rebuilt the Barracuda and it's a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

I am torn as to which one to sell.
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

I'm an E-Body guy through and through.  The only thing that would sway me is condition.  If the condition of one car is a lot better than the other then I would keep the better condition car.   :alan2cents:

If you can't decide let the market do it for you. Put them both up for sale and which ever sells first goes and you keep what is left. Problem solved.

:dunno: There is a problem I wish I had. I love e-bodies (Challengers more so) but that is matched by my love of convertibles. Sounds like you will have the best lf both worlds so what ever you need to do to get that Challenger vert!!  Just share some pictures of it.  :drinkingbud:

I would want one hard top instead of two convertibles, so I'd sell your Barracuda.

:iagree: but do you want both cars Challengers?  Might make it easier on parts.

Tough decision; you presently have two nice cars.
Personally, I've always loved the e body car too.
Did you think of selling both of your current cars and buy a really pristine RT Challenger convertible?
Really clean examples are expensive these days and this would give you the funds to shop around and find one that really meets your expectations!
Just my thoughts!

I have thought of that.  My ultimate goal is to get down to one Challenger convertible.  I want to get a nice clean car to build the way I would want it if I had ordered it new.  While I am building it, I would have the other to drive, take to shows, etc. :ohyeah:

Id sell them both and buy one bad ass convertible!

I think once you drive a Challenger convertible, you won't want to drive a Challenger hard top  :alan2cents:

I once had a Challenger convertible.  Hence the itch to get back into one!   :lookatthat:

If your goal is to have 1 really nice Challenger Conv than it makes sense to sell both and get a done car.

Chryco Psycho

Well I am not much help
I would keep the E body over the A body
But I would keep the 4 spd over the Auto
just not enough leg room in an A body for me with a 4 spd
Having driven a Chall vert I would always take a hardtop over a vert  :alan2cents:
