Paris ---> Caen: 2h40
Caen --->Omaha Beach: 30 minutes
Omaha Beach ---> Utah Beach & Ste mere l'Eglise: 20 minutes

How many hours from Paris is Normandy?

I have visited Normandy twice.  Both visits I stayed in Bayeux.  Train ride from Paris to Bayeux is 2.5 hours.

Car drive from Bayeux to Omaha Beach is approx 20 minutes.

  Thanks for the info. I thought it was closer for some reason. Would like to visit someday; having been a Tanker in the Army would like to visit the museum.

Bayeux is perfect for the hotel. From there you can visit the american and the english beaches!

This museum is pretty recent, built few years ago. It wasn't very nice at start but the collection is really nice now.
If you want to see tanks, the best place in France is: tank museum of Saumur
The biggest collection in France with 800 tanks and armored vehicles from all around the round from 1914 to nowadays. With very rare tanks like German Tiger 1 and 2 for exemple.

Then if you make it over to France, along with Normandy, you should go to the Loire Valley. The Musée des Blindés is very impressive from the reviews of my friends. Thanks for the great pictures, Sure would like to go there,  I did a reforger to germany in 83 with the first cav, went into Holland then back into germany.  I was on a m60a3 tank.  I own 3 halftracks, and other ww2 vehicles.  Go to g503  forum, website. they would like to see your pictures.  also I have owned alot of mopars.  PM me if ok

Every year in June there is a modelist even inside the museum, and during the week end, there are dynamic shows. They start many tanks and drive them so if you like steel armor it's just amazing!

  I started on a M60A3 tank then transitioned to the new M1A1 Abrams in 85 then went to Germany and competed in The Canadian Army Trophy with Northag team. Got into tanks when I saw Kelly's Heros and Oddball...

 Wow a tanker here. My  unit got 150 M1 in 85 and was the round out for the Ist  cav.They are a bad azz tank. Then later go out of tanks,  went to hueys, then blackhawks.  You will have to come up for a visit, not far from you.
