Sounds like a great trip.  Glad everything worked on the car.  Can't complain about that gas mileage either. 

That is a good reminder about opening the hood after the car's gotten wet.  I need to remember to do that after washing the car because that insulation pad does hold water. 
Nice that you could park the car in a safe place overnight. 
Car sounds great btw
