My first thought, is this a joke? The thing looks like a WW2 tank.
Elon sure has some balls though. What do you guys think of this creature?

Katfish

I'd like to throw a ball at the "unbreakable" windows...................
Oops, they already did that twice, and they broke.

It's FUGLY

TMZ said it was likely a stunt to make the intro of the truck go viral.

"Elon took the hit" they said.

7:30 minutes in to the video is so funny!

Here's some prices, 0-60 times and tow capacity specs.  If that info is like his bullet proof glass it might be worth double checking his math.

Ya, good sloped sides for shell deflection. I'd rather walk thanks.....

It must be a joke.

It's a truck? More like an SUV.

Angularity's are reminiscent to the Stealth fighter.

As like in the article: the Tesla might be blown out due to non interest?

However...Hunter's are going to like this as it'll be able to go stealth mode (no noise) into deep terrain.

Unique and innovative but just ugly to me

Brads70

Wow.... must have hired the designer who did the Aztek, but it's even uglier! Looks like something a 5 year old would draw.

It's really ugly.

The fact that you can hit it with a sledge hammer and not dent it appeals to me.
As a hunter this would be pretty slick.  But only helps me a little as I typically hike in pretty far.  I'm not that old yet that I need to hunt close to the vehicle.
I also really like the bullet proof glass and the ability to at least deflect bullets.  It appears the bullets hitting the door are hitting the door at a 90* angle and are deflecting evenly.  This would be great for Chicago or any city that has outlawed guns anyway.
I see merit even in the uglyness of it.   Less angles and curves to hold dirt.  Easier to fix after running it down a rock or a tree.  Not to say that purchasing his "alloy" would be cheap.  Not sure about welding his special "alloy" either.  But....
Also the front where the radiator goes is a nice angle and would deflect stuff well compared to a standard horizontal radiator grill.
There's a lot to like here.  Now I really don't believe in electricity for transportation.  Coal, corn, wind, water, and solar.  All of those can't keep up with the demand of electricity as it is.  So how are they going to keep up with all the oil and gas going away?  They are not.   I go 4 wheeling in my jeep, drive 4-5 hours in the wee hours of the morning and then rock crawl all day long.  Then drive home So, some days I drive 20 plus hours in one weekend day.  Sparks can't keep up with that.

Everything else is very practical and love not needing a radiator and cooling.
