When I was retailing back in the early '00s, ebay was a great tool. They slowly raised rates and fees until I had to abandoned them entirely. They were simply eroding my margins, which were already thin, to a point that some parts were becoming a net zero gain.

So what are you using now??

I haven't sold parts in almost a decade. I even quit using  craigslist as I got tired of the constant tire kickers who had no interest in actually buying and low ballers who think I'm desperate.  I don't turn over cars regularly enough to generate extra parts. Any thing I take off my current car goes in a box. When I get enough boxes, I'll rent a spot at a swap meet. If I want to move just a few things, then I'll use forums such as this one.  Maximum return is not my objective, so I'm not out for maximum exposure.

Well this morning buyer opened a case against me and within 10 minutes, Ebay gave him his money back and deducted the cash from my Paypal.  I have now appealed the decision and hoping I can work this out in my favor.  Buyer already sent me a note taunting his victory . . . wouldn't answer any of my questions but certainly can rub it in my face that he got his cash back!

Ebay is always on the side of the buyer. Too many buyers got taken and complained so Ebay is biased now. Good luck. But you do have a case. Item was not returned as shipped.

Pretty soon ebay will be in trouble if this crap keeps up.No one will sell on ebay , why it's a headache!  I'd never sell something on there now. I only  have sold something on there once and that was 15 years ago.

Spikedog08

Never again . . . Never  Ever ever will I sell anything there . . Like I stated, had a credit on my account for years and thought I would finally get rid of it.  Now I have a headache . . Buyer just pulled a fast one on me and then rubbed it in my face.

:pullinghair:

Guess I should at least look to see what he took .  .  That is the only logical reason possible that he opened it.  I assume he had one and something broke or stripped out.  Bought mine, took the piece he needed and then returned it like he is innocent . . .

Fight it!!!!  Don't let him get away with it.  It might take awhile, but lay out the facts and fight it.   :pullinghair:
