My local club, Northeast Mighty Mopar Club has a FB page run by myself and a website run by another member. Unfortunately activity on the website is pretty much  dead and debating whether it`s worth it to try and revive it. What would it take to revive it and keep it going/active as it seems FB is now the big thing?

Good question. We have 800 some members here, and the FB page has 4000 plus. I mentioned to a FB member that he should join our forum, he said I thought thats what this is, meaning the FB page.  Then he joined us here.

Give them something on the website they can't get anywhere else.  No, I don't have any suggestions as to what that might be.  sorry  :looney:

damn typing!  :-[

Yeah, only thing I did in my high school typing class was check out the girls....  Now 45 years later I hunt & peck with whatever finger gets the job done..

Organizing any club stuff is a PITA, few want to help, very few bother to thank those who do the organizing & in the end your left wondering why you bother...  So Thanks for your efforts!!! And while on the subject Thanks to Cody & all the folks that make this place work....

In the past I organized about 6 cruises a year for car guys, rarely had help planning a route, rarely any help contacting people & once on the drive few wanted to be bothered keeping track of the cars ahead/behind themselves....  When you have 15-20 cars together stop lights & such separate groups... Planning helps but....

These days I'm back to 2-3 other cars & it's much easier & more enjoyable for the people who actually do the work....

Check these guys out.  They are really successful around here. Their website is only aimed at getting people together at the meets.  It's not really about interacting on the website.  If you want real activity on the website itself, you would need the "Cody" approach.

Yes, Cody has done an incredible job here - starting a new site and having it so successful during the FB craze and with two already established E-body sites. We had some events last season and did OK, I had some help getting the word out about Mopar Day at the local dragway and we were able to get a much better turnout than the past few years so I know it can be done. I helped moderate sites before but never actually owned/ran one.
