A haven't seen a thread here on E bodies.org about pets yet so it's time...... Here's my buddies...
This bully is 21 years old. Here he is helping me run the container business a few years ago.
Love seeing photos of pets. We lost a few dogs in the last year to old age and cancer so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's pet.
He's not normal

Really sorry for your loss, thats the hardest part of having pets, they just don't live long enough... My two are getting up there & I hate it.... I hope they are around for a long time but unfortunately I know time isn't on my side...
Our previous Cat Oscar passed away in early October last year.
We were shattered.
We went to the pet adoption fair in San Rafael 2 weeks later.
Zyzzy is a Dog trapped in a Cat's body. He is a laugh per minute.
Lila is the shy little girl with the white Mascara.
She is the hunter. If it moves and is smaller than her, it's dead.
Here is, you guessed it, Rocky should of named him Houdini gets in and out of everything. Loves to run off with tools and parts but always puts them in the same place so they are easy to retrieve. Lot of fun and loves to snuggle.
Well Rocky is certainly unique.... Pretty cool!
Was standing in the backyard yesterday and along walks a raccoon across the neighbors yard. Walks over to a tree and climbs right up. Gets to the top and then starts going from tree to tree. For a big animal they can get around really good.
I have to get in on this one, my fur babies are my family! Dogs : Duke & Sprinkles, Cats : Caledonia (Callie) & Shadow!
ALL are either rescues or strays I have taken in!
Here is my boy Max

Today is national " DOG DAY " :rebelflag"
Sandy & Miles Bentley
This is Rumble (had a rumble bee when we got him). He was the best dog you could ever ask for, super easy to train and just loved life. We lost him January 2 2017 he was only 7.5 y/o, was the worst day of my life. Still not a day goes by i don't think about him.

Sorry for your loss. He was still pretty young to be gone so soon. Worst part of having dogs is their short lifespan.

I have spent boat loads to try and save some of my furry friends in the past. When your confronted with the situation money is no object. Whatever it takes to try and help them.
We have " Cooper" and "Wilson" or Willy... or Hoover ( eats anything that drops in seconds) :D
Cooper is the Dad and Wilson is the son. We on purpose bred him with the neighbors dog and got first pick for a pup. They are mixed ( mutts) Cocker spaniel and Maltese. I'll let you figure out the acronym!
Lets just say its a great ice breaker, especially elderly people we meet camping. I have to admit my favorite kind of dog was "someone else's" but I have grown so attached to them, Cooper is really attached to me, Wilson more the wife.
Wilson is the biggest suck, great heart but not the sharpest tool in the shed so to speak. Dinner time is their most favorite followed by bed time. It gets to be a bit much when they zoom up to our bed crawl under the covers, do a 180 and flop their head on the pillow. They for sure think they are people!
Dogs are wonderful companions. Should do miss my Hemi.
This is Hunter he'll be 1 year old on thursday
Lila has severe Stomatitis. Some or all her teeth will have to be removed. We will have to go to a specialist either in Walnut Creek or San Carlos. Ester, Maria's Daughter is looking into other options as well. She is very knowledgeable on Feline's.
Feline stomatitis is a severe, painful inflammation of a cat's mouth and gums. In most cases, the condition causes ulcers to form in the mouth; these ulcers can involve the lips, tongue, gums, and back of the throat.Cats of any age or breed can be affected.
I hope for the best for Lila. Pets are like family and I know you'll do what is best for her.
Funny that this post popped back up to the top today....
I'm, sorry to report that today I had to have my boy Tok put down.... Things have been going on for awhile & six weeks ago he was diagnosed with a tumor on his brain.... We've spent the past six weeks saying goodbye, trying to comfort him as best we could, giving him his favorite treats... I hate that he's gone but I hope his suffering is over..... RIP Tok...
Sorry to hear about your loss. Tok looked like a great dog. I'm sure you gave him a great life. RIP Tok.
Sorry to hear about Tok. Pretty Dog. My condolences.
RIP Tok.
I am sorry to hear Tok's gone. A brain tumor...that really sucks. He was such a handsome boy & I bet, a really good friend. There's no better pal than a dog.
RIP Tok
I am really sorry for your loss. Hard moment of life for sure.
Here are my buddies.
Jook (3yo black male) and Giraya (6yo White female, i took her over 2 years ago).
Running, moutain bike and hike, always fun!
Thanks everyone, losing a friend is always hard, Tia, Coral & I are ll saddened by the loss.. I think this was especially hard because we knew his time was short & there was nothing we could do but comfort him....
Give all your furry friends a big hug... They just don't live long enough..
Pets are always a big part of family life.
We lost our Tobygirl (half collie-half St. Bernard after 16 years-finally had to put her down last year) Typical health issues: loss of use of rear legs, diabetic)
and sadly, the year prior to losing Toby, we had to put down Chicklet, our Chihuahua - was about 7 years old. (had issues from when we first got her) Never buy a pet store "breeded" animal.
Both were big loses to the family, especially with my daughter who gets very attached to our pets.
Now the good news
We adopted two shelter animals this past year and a half
Ralphie, a "boxador" (half Lab and half boxer) and a cat named Rita. Both are real characters.
As a sidebar: we kept the names that the animals had in the shelter. Ralphie and Rita's names sound more like an old couple!
and they have become the best of friends!
Guess who sleeps in the dog's bed?

Yes, Bengals are highly intelligent. They can be harness trained as well. But most of all they are cunning. Don't turn your back for a second to reach for that jar of pickles in the fridge while leaving your turkey sandwich you made for lunch alone....It will instantly in no more than 2.3 seconds grow fuzzy legs and run out of the room. Lol.

OK... here's my pooch... Sir Riley (Pomerarian-Shitzoo)...
My dog is already showing up as my avatar, but I thought I'd throw another picture in. She doesn't drive often, but when she does, she drives a Mopar. I was wondering where all of those extra miles on my truck came from.
Your cat has some funny facial markings ... looks like he has a big black smile on his face. :haha:

Well it's been a week, She's fitting in pretty well... At first there was tension between Tia & the puppy, momma was concerned, I kept telling her it was Tia establishing rules & boundaries... Well the puppy has learned rules....
She's 99% house broken (hadn't had an accident in over three days but we'll see) , she's learning that biting isn't well received & she's learned to use the doggie door... She goes to the vet for the first visit under my watch tomorrow....
Oh, we settled on a name.. Meet Tasha...

This is Max our Alaskan Malamute. He absolutely loves the snow and will lay out in it for hours on end. In addition to Max we have four cats, Kato, Jo Jo, Harley and Magique that Max loves to torment.
Caught Zyzzy yesterday at an opportunistic moment.
:o that thing looks like it is about to go psycho on you Mike!!
Love that photo of max just laying there in the snow
The white horse is Beau. He'll be 35 in a few months which is really old for a horse.
The next pic is from when we got our girl Thunder. She's a big Belgian Percheron. Donna named her after hearing her run.
The next one is my boy Harley. He's a haflinger and very smart and agile. He has me trained and wrapped around his little hoof. The last pic shows him using my lap as a pillow.
Chuck

It's with a great deal of sorrow that I have to report that Max passed away Tuesday night, unnecessarily from complications of pneumonia while at the Vets. I don't know if I'm more hurt or angry. The Vets totally screwed up and now my beloved Max is no longer with us and I miss him terribly.
I am so so sorry to hear about Max's passing... Trust me I know the hurt well.... As I'm sure most of us do.... RIP Max... :sorry:
Sorry Raptor, that hurts.
I'm very sorry to hear this. :(
I went back and looked at him.
He was a beautiful looking Dog.
That sucks, he was a beautiful looking dog and to lose him like that, so sorry for you.
Event though we know we will outlive our pets, we still do it, because they give us unconditional love which you can't get anywhere else.
RIP Max..... :sorry: for your loss...
:sorry:
Thanks everybody. I know that the hurt will eventually be replaced with fond memories. The fact that it was so unexpected and unnecessary made it particularly hard. We received the anti-biotics we ordered for Max last Friday in today's mail, which temporary brought the anger back again until we opened a card from a good friend with this tree ornament. Still hurts but we know it will get better. Thanks again for the kind comments.
You have an awesome friend...
I wasn't going to share this but I think it belongs...
My boy Tok who passed September 19th had issues for years & I'd given him medicine without issue through all of it... Till late August when the vet prescribed the last pills... Tok wouldn't take them & I wound up forcing him to take them.. He'd never acted that way before but the vet said he needed them... I fed him pills daily for three days & suddenly he was much sicker than he'd been before.. I stopped giving him the pills & took him back to the vet, who confirmed Tok's system couldn't tolerate the meds... Three weeks late Tok had declined to he point I couldn't see him suffer anymore.... He trusted me, he tried to refuse the meds but I forced the issue, he did what I asked & took the pills... In the end I feel like I killed my buddy....
Vets try to help but they don't always have the right answers...
Thanks for sharing 1 Wild R/T. Interesting, I once had a Siberian Husky name Tok. Small world.

Thanks for sharing 1 Wild R/T. Interesting, I once had a Siberian Husky name Tok. Small world.
When we first brought him home we wanted a name with some sled dog history tied to it.... In the end we named him after the Alaskan town of Tok... A town named after a Husky..... Tok is known as the "Sled Dog Capital of Alaska," and many of its residents are involved in some way with dogs and dog mushing.it was named after a husky pup that belonged to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in charge of building this section of the Alaska Highway.
Wow. We also named ours after the town of TOK.
Sorry to hear about your faithful friend. Always tough, but especially at this time of the year. I dread the day when I lose one of mine. They are like another kid.
I think for most of us they are our buddies & mean the world to us.... I know my fluffy fur balls do...
Sorry for your loss of Max.
He looks like a cool dog to have had !

These three. 2 sister cats from adoption center. Both freaks of nature in their "special" ways.
Last on is around 90 years old. Going for a lettuce binge. Will not eat iceburg. Has to be romain. She will be down for the winter very soon.
My condolences to the loss of your pet.
We have a couple of Dobies (Dobermans) ... Betsy and Nala ...
Here is how we believe they think of themselves (and we wish they were!)
(https://forum.e-bodies.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1087.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fj479%2Ftomravak%2FOther%2FIMG_0058.jpg&hash=1fc88f7b2742657a98d444af4661fa635f71bc6a)
But they are nothing of the sort! The reality is they are more like this ... a couple of couch potato's!! They have very short coats and when it is very cold outside they come back in shivering - hence the sweaters. Betsy, our younger one is on the left, and Nala our older "gray-beard" is on the right
(https://forum.e-bodies.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1087.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fj479%2Ftomravak%2FOther%2FIMG_0568.jpg&hash=d5737a94ba366d4422e589e7d315b7ed027e6a3d)
Have Toby the miniature poodle who just turned 9 in December, and Maddie, the Peekapoo, who we lost 18 months ago. Still miss her and so does Toby.
Our two mutts, Rowdy and Nala. 1/2 Shepard, 1/2 husky. They are northern rescue dogs used to northern Canadian winters, but in the summer they can usually be found in the shade, like under my car.
Our two rescues Bruno and Kya
Bruno and Kya look like they have some Doberman in them?
3 year old St Bernard that I swear my wife loves more than me. And my almost 14 year old female lab. She is actually in pretty good shape for her age. Just would not perform for pictures! Haha.

Rzerob good eye. The one one the right KYA is a Doberman without the ears done. Bruno we aren't sure but has the markings. We are on our 5th doby great dogs.
Dutchess a tricolor Basenji. She passed away a few years ago at 16 1/2 I can't really complain since that's pretty old for a dog but it just never seems like enough.
16 !/2 is pretty good but your right never enough..... Basenji's are cool dogs.... Sorry for your loss, pets are the best companions....

Yes: I guess his nasty disposition has kept him going all these years. He still makes me laugh at least once a day.
Handsome Jack. Someone dumped him in the neighborhood. The two elderly ladies took him in and gave him all his shots, fixed him, chipped him, licensed himand fed him. :ohyeah: But he always hung with me.

Over 16 for a dog & 22+ for a cat are terrific! I lost one of my cats back in August @ 13+ the other cat & both dogs are up there a bit. I pray they live a lot longer lives. They are my kids & can't imagine being without them!
My thoughts & prayers go out the members who have recently lost their "Fur Babies" They give us unconditional love & are such a big part of our families!
God Bless
Bill
So our Australian Shepherd Freyja has been very depressed and moping around the house since Vixie passed last month as she has no one to herd anymore (the cats don't herd very well, they just give her a swat when she tries to herd them).
So we have a new companion coming for Freyja when we pick her up on Friday.
She is a long haired Siberian Husky that is 9 weeks old, no name as of yet, still mulling it over.
My daughter is holding her, here she is:
Cool!! Sibe's are great dogs, but they can be a handful... DAMHIK...
Congrats!
Welcome her to her new family and teach her to sing.
Here's my crew. We lost the old yellow girl this past Christmas. She was the mother/grandmother of our pack.
This says it all! :takepicture:

Wow! :unbelievable:
That looks like a lot 'o' work!
I only have two dogs and I swear they poop like a dozen. I can only imagine the amount of scoopin' time you have logged. :Thud:

I actually built a fifty foot long wooden walkway that is fenced that leads from a deck off this room to a large fenced couple acres. A few times a year I simply pressure wash the woods.. it works much better than it sounds. They have a pretty good setup. Heat pump, hence AC! Four cameras around the woods to keep an eye on them at all times. But you're right overall a pile of work!!
I believe I posted a pic before but here is our dog, Bodi. Unfortunately I think his time is coming. Berners average life span is 7-8 years old I have been told, he is 12 now. On Saturday night we spend 4 hours ( 11 pm - 3 a.m.) at the Vet Emergency center. Not sure what but something happened earlier that night. He is getting a bulge on his left side and was very unsettled and drinking a lot. After all the tests it was inconclusive but thoughts are he might have a tumor on his spleen and it might have burst. He has to go today to have it aspirated so we know what we are dealing with. If it is blood then it's only a matter of time, if it's other fluid then we can look at treatment but he is at a fragile age and we know he wouldn't survive a surgery. His quality of life would be severely compromised. He's at a point where you have to help pick up his back end when he wants to get up. I don't like this part of pet ownership, I don't handle it well.

It upsets me reading this.... they are so apart of our lives, like children. They teach us what unconditional love looks like. :sorry:
My condolences , Dogs are awesome but never live long enough , dealing with the loss is the hardest part as they really are about unconditional love . :bye:
So so sorry, that sucks.... Dogs are just the same as our children even though we know that we will outlive them....
I just went through this with our papillion who was 15 years old, knew it was coming but still didn't prepare us for it.....
Now we have a Siberian Husky puppy that is just like having a toddler, gets into everything, gotta puppy proof the home....
My Baby Zoe!!!

Sorry to hear Bodi isn't doing well, it really is the hardest part of having pets, we've all been there... Yet some how most of us find another friend to bring home & offer a better life to..... Which mostly makes our lives better too....
I hope Bodi turns out to be okay, but if not I hope he doesn't suffer...

Sorry to hear about Bodi also. I always thought those Berners are really good looking dogs, they seem friendly too. Yep, it' not fun to go through that at all. Been there several times, it never gets any easier, that's for sure.
Take care, Scott
Here's some pics of my buddies, past and present. Thor was our first, the one pic is at his prime and then one in his last days, he made to 15. One heck of a dog, he could catch those nylabone (hard) Frisbee no matter how hard or far I threw, he was like no other. I'll post the my other buddies shortly.
Ok, next is Thunder. He was quite the snuggler, he would curl up next to me on those cold winter days and we'd watch Lions lose again and again. He past on a couple of years ago. He was really good with puppies we got to keep him company when another one of our dogs past on, he's the big one of the pic of the three of them. Also, he loved the snow, he would constantly bury his head in it. He made to it 12.
Next is MaTuVu, she was a retired show dog our breeder gave us when she was 8, she make it to 12. She was quite the lady, somehow she never got dirty, she would always walk around puddles and stay away from anything dirty. I miss her too, she was a good buddy for Thunder too.
Here are our current doggies. Stormy and Lightening, they are brother and sister. We when looking for another dog after Ma Tu Vu past on to keep Thunder company, my son wanted a boy and my wife wanted a girl. So we got one of each. It's was the best thing ever, they played with each other and Thunder too. They also, keep each other busy, so they chewed on less stuff too. The first pic is of the dogs waiting for me to get home from work. As you can see Lightening likes his ball, check out the tennis ball position. He's slowed down a bit now, but still does good.
I always heard losing a pet was one of the hardest things.....now I get it. Max crossed over the rainbow bridge on March 19th. He was 13 yrs 3 months and losing him was the worst feeling I have ever had. He was my constant companion. People say the hardest part of getting a dog is the goodbye......how true it is. Miss him every day.

:sorry: for your loss, we just went through this with our little papillion Vixie, it hurts alot. They may be gone, but they are never ever forgotten. :sorry:
Skippy > On Vacation > Guard duty
She says, "she is Not a Hot dog"
she is a Akita...
She was a "Cool" companion, we had 17 years together.

@usraptor (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/usraptor_90) Max looks like a really cool dog! 8) 8)
Thanks Superdave. He was. 135 lbs of a sweetheart. Went everywhere with me.
Twins!! A rare moment, the puppy has slowed down enough that Tia will occasionally tolerate her....
My great dog Wilbur passed away this weekend, he was old, going on 14. Loved to ride in the Challenger with the wind in his face.
We lost a family member. My other dog is sad also, they were always together, she keeps staring out the window as if she is looking for him.
Cats!

Sorry to hear. They are family you will never forget.
What beautiful fur babies. So sorry for the losses posted here. :andyangel:
Here is our Jon Snow-a feral cat born under our work shed last year. He kind of adopted us so we vetted him and had him fixed and he comes in the house when he wants. Had a terrible mole problem in my yard. Full of mounds and tunnel. I had trapped 36 of them in the last 5 years but they always seem to come back. Now this past Saturday while cutting our grass I noticed we had no more moles and now I know why.. On Sunday I watch off our deck Jon Snow who caught this one out in the woods and brought him in the yard to play with. Not sure if it ended well for the mole. He is earning his keep.

:bigthumb: litterally.
WOW! What a great thread!
I find myself smiling at all the beautiful pets and crying over the loses you all have incurred.
So let me start off with my boy.
Modi - Norse God of Bravery and Berserker Rage. That last part always cracks me up. He is the fastest dog I have ever owned. He has run down 2 Jack Rabbits and gotten at least 4 ground squirrels. At 105# that is pretty impressive.
Here is my favorite puppy picture - I call it what happened to Tweety Bird?
Here are some more pics of Modi - aka Mo, Modi Mo, Mo Mo, Modi Mo-tin-sin, and the Blue Eye of Doom
So I know Covid 19 just suddenly didn't kill all Pets.
Let's see something for now to make us forget it for a while.
We gave lion cuts a couple days ago for the first time using human clippers. It went pretty well.
Today we received actual dog/cat clippers and improved upon it even more. These pics are after the human clippers. Not bad! They look better now.
Our groomer charges $70 per cat. We can't match her work, but we can come decently close. I think it will start paying for itself real soon.
I can't open windows.
They want something.
Fooooooood
My wife and I have 5 Cats. I'm posting 4 of them, there is a Siamese female we feed and take care of who stays outside and will not come into the house. We have "Winston" who is a male British short haired Tabby, "Figaro" is a bushy male Maine Coon Tabby, "Bella" is a female Calico (our oldest at 15 years old) and "kipper" our Orange short haired Tabby golden child. We love them all and Vet wise well taken care of. Thanks, Al
Here's "Winston"
And "Figaro" old sleepy head.
My faithful companion, Igor 10.5 years old.
I take advantage every day because their life is so short.
